This Week--- Limited availability Northwest Wines from Oregon and Washington March 31, 2002

Broadley
Marcile Lorraine
Pinot Noir 2000

$49.99

Just released! and very limited, this is Craig and Morgan's highly desirable, sophisticated, Burgundian styled Pinot Noir that we sell out of immediately ever year. Age 8-12 years, a wonderful cellar selection.

$50 Cabernet for $32.99
from the maker of Owen Roe Wines:
Sineann
Baby poux Cab 2000

Ok guys, I guess you are overlooking this Cab because it is so reasonably priced, or maybe because the name is silly, but this is a big, gutsy Cabernet Sauvignon and a bargain to boot! This wine tastes $50 even if it's a lot less!

Great structure, good blackberry Bordeauxlike Cassis, cedar, good weight, silky tannins. Cabernet from the Baby poux Vineyard has the usual gushing, over the top flavors that characterize the wines of Sineann. A Columbia Valley vineyard, older vines, there are complex flavors here that hint at much to come. Best 2003-2006, although most of it won't last that long. Only 100 cases made.

Gets Busy Promoting Wines

Dear %%NAME%%,

There's a lot of new and limited availability wines out this week-also some deals that we need to move out-

- CELLAR RECOMMENDATION
Andrew Will Merlot PepperBridge 2000 and
Andrew Will Merlot Seven Springs 2000

Here's two Washington Merlots that deserve cellaring- winemaker Chris Camarda of Andrew Will Winery has created two Merlots of complexity, with almost liqueur-like concentration, dark, brooding personalities and some rich grilled herb and char notes. These wines are both powerful and structured, immediately appealing but will reward the patient after 3-10 years.

- Woodward Canyon Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon 99
is in next week! Flavors of ripe raspberry and blackberry married with spicy, toasted oak and vanilla explode in the mouth! The color is deeply purple and the texture is concentrated and rich, yet supple. It will benefit greatly from additional cellaring, and with proper storage, should last fifteen years. Save $5 a bottle through the end of the month.

- Best Buy for Everyday Drinking
Cameron Chardonnay Non vintage
$16.49 regular SALE $12.99

It's Spring and time to stock up on a little nice white wine for lighter cuisine and friends who want something white with their canapes... Cameron is a tiny winery whose non vintage Chardonnay is scooped up every year for its great French style and reasonable price. Better known for their $40 single vineyard Chardonnays, Cameron's Non vintage Chard is a steal! Limited.

-Sineann and Owen Roe Winemaker David O'Reilly's
Dessert Wine Sweet Sydney- ONLY 20 CASES MADE

We still have a little of this very limited and popular dessert wine made from late harvest zinfandel grapes.

-Jean's Drinking
Antica Terra Pinot Noir Croft Vineyard 2000

I love this wine. This is a serious, well structured Pinot noir witha big nose with strawberry, cedar, black fruit, luschious gushing fruit flavors on the palate with hints of pepper and licorice, and a long, vanilla oak finish. The winemakers are creating a unique and distinctive style that adds that extra panache to make this wine a special one. Coming soon, and looking forward to, their 2000 Pinot Noir. Preorder now for very limited availability.

Update on Owen Roe and Sineann Wine Releases
David O'Reilly called this evening and let me know about the status of his wonderful wines.
-Grab it now- Sineann Sweet Sydney Dessert Wine- sold out except for what we have at the store
-Grab it now- Owen Roe Pinot Gris Casablanca Vineyard 2000- really one of the best white wines I have had the privilege to taste, this wine is very low in stock, and I may take a bit of it home, so grab it now if you want some. You'll be glad you did.
-Supply ok for 2 weeks- Sineann Baby poux Cabernet sauvignon- Hey people- this wine is wonderful, David says its his favorite wine right now, its drinking so well and has the structure to age well. David's got a great price on this wine but if you'd feel more comfortable paying $50 a bottle, we'll take the $$s! The Owen Roe Dubrul Cab and Merlot are incredibly limited this year, so the Baby poux is a great way to supplement your upcoming Dubrul allocation.
-Owen Roe Cabernet Franc, Dubrul Cabernet, Dubrul Merlot- David made less this year than last, and the wine has incredible press from Wine Spectator, so allocating it will be a tough job. He is going to place most of it in restaurants, and has promised a very small amount to us for retail sale. We're committed to sending it to our Big Reds Club members, and whatever is left if any will then be divided among those of you who have requested some. Don't expect more than a bottle or two, he made less than 100 cases total.
