September 1st, 6 pm at Big River Restaurant

On Thursday September 1st, Big River Restaurant and Avalon Wine are welcoming winemaker David Autrey from Westrey Wines. We're doing four courses, paired with five different wines.

This dinner should be a lot of fun. We'll taste Pinot gris,the Reserve Chardonnay, and three Pinot noirs - the 2009 Willamette Valley, Justice Vineyard, and Oracle Vineyard wines. Thanks to Big River for organizing this event. We'll see you there!

Olive oil cured Albacore tuna, heirloom tomatoes, lemon, & basil
Served with 2009 Pinot Gris

Salmon, chanterelles, house cured bacon, corn, & brown butter
Served with 2008 Reserve Chardonnay

Pork Belly, summer vegetables, & pinot jus
Served with 2009 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir

Lamb, thyme, forest mushrooms, fennel, risotto, basil, & pine nuts
Served with 2009 Justice Vineyard Pinot Noir & 2009 Oracle Vineyard Pinot Noir
