Looks like the sun will be gracing us with its presence tomorrow, so please join us for some stunning wine from De Ponte Wine Cellars.

I was impressed with their Dundee Hills Pinot while attending the Portland Indie Wine festival a few weeks ago. Dense and earthy it is a great summer BBQ Pinot (grilled flank steak over a warm eggplant salad with basil comes to mind), or perhaps a good complement to a BBQ themed Father's Day gift?

Aaron Nieman will also be bringing a vibrant Melon de Bourgogne, perfect for summer appetizers and a newer varietal to Oregon. A nice change from Pinot Gris and quite similar to Muscadet. There will also be a pretty in pink Rose for those of us who love pink!

Fans of Domaine Droughin style wines should definitely attend as Isabelle Dutartre was the assistant winemaker to Veronique Drouhin for 5 years before joining the De Ponte team.

Also in the store: Celebrating graduation? We have a great selection of Champagne and sparking for the special day. Looking for some great values in Italian reds and whites?  This Saturday, Vineria Italia will be pouring some excellent wines, from a crisp and refreshing Trebbiano to a Barbera d’Alba to a decadent sparkling orange Muscat.  Think summer picnic with an Italian twist.
