That’s right—it’s the 15th,
which means all food and wine at Avalon's Corvallis store is 15% off today. We do that every 15th of the month, so mark your calendars for the future. All purchases must be made in person.

Congratulations Belle Vallee Cellars!

Corvallis’s own Belle Vallee Cellars just received a very nice write-up in the Wine Spectator Advance. Their 2005 Willamette Valley Pinot noir 05 received 91 points and was declared a Smart Buy. At $22, it’s a steal and we have plenty of it.

Saturday Wine Tasting

I don’t normally send e-mails about Saturday wine tastings so early in the week but this Saturday we have a particularly special tasting. Ewald Moseler will join us Saturday from 12:00-3:00 for a tasting of German Riesling. Ewald has tremendous knowledge of German wines and we are fortunate that he lives in Portland, where he directly imports many fine wines.

I’ll send another e-mail later this week because I don’t want you to miss the opportunity to meet Ewald and taste the incredible Rieslings from his portfolio.

It’s sunny and warm…come down and try and tasty white wine and the new Andrew Rich “Cuvee B” Pinot noir ’05. We’ll be here until 6:00.
