Barnard Griffin was founded in 1983 by veteran winemaker Rob Griffin and his wife, Deborah Barnard. Rob has been making premium wine in Washington since 1977. Barnard Griffin wines are dry table wines featuring barrel fermentation, oak aging, and blending of the state's finest vineyards.
Griffin has been making wines longer than any other winemaker in the state, but this is the first time he's had his own winery and tasting room. In the past, he made his wines at other wineries and could only sell them wholesale. Griffin's wines, especially his fumé blanc and merlot, have won critical acclaim at national judgings.
