Evesham Wood Le Puit Sec 06 $31.46/$34.95 One wine I buy every year is the Evesham Wood Le Puit Sec Pinot noir. The 2006 is phenomenal, and in stock! Upon release, the Evesham Pinots are typically tight and awkward, but the warm 2006 vintage delivered a forward, rich, exuberant Le Puit Sec with beautiful cherry fruit, pretty floral and spice aromatics, and a super silky almost fat mid-palate of delicious Pinot flavor. Did I mention the price?! Evesham Wood has been making wine for two decades, yet their estate bottling, made with certified organic grapes, is $35. It's truly a rare value, and will be gone within a week.

Westrey Willamette Valley 07 $19.75/$21.95: This is one classy value Pinot, and certainly the best Willamette Valley Pinot yet from Westrey. The nose is so pretty and elegant, with crushed raspberries, hints of pie cherry and cranberry that echo in the flavors. A seamless wine, with a surprisingly big finish, and the right combination of silky and juicy. Two years from now, I'll be sipping the 07 Westrey, wishing I had another case in the cellar.

JK Carriere Willamette Valley 06 $37.76/$41.95: JK Carriere was among my favorite wines from the 2002 vintage. Fast forward to last week, when I had the fortune to taste the 2006 Willamette Valley from JK Carriere. At once rich and balanced, the 06 strutted out of the bottle with gorgeous red fruit, subtle notes of graham and cinnamon, and a velvety smooth mouthfeel. A standout of the 2006 vintage...I can't wait for another glass! http://www.northwest-wine.com/J-K-Carriere-Pinot-noir.html
