A Grand Slam!

The ripest 2007 Pinot noir we've tasted. Fat and rich, with smoky black cherry, blackberry and blueberry flavors gliding on a hefty frame.

The Homer is mouthcoating and voluptuous, and shows beautiful integration and balance for such a massive Pinot. The finish cascades for over a minute, showcasing deep fruit accented by sweet violets and truffles.

Surprisingly expressive, even when first opened, the 07 Homer will also enjoy a long life in your cellar. Critics of the 2007 vintage must not have tasted the Homer - it's a grand slam. -Marcus

The word "voluminous" comes to mind in describing the Shea Homer 07. It's a powerful wine, richly scented with intermingled blackberry, cinnamon, and tantalizing violets.

The Homer is a tapestry of fruit flavors - blackberry, black currant, black cherry and blueberry. A smidgen of red raspberry, red cherry, rose perfume and sweet spice shows through the massive dark fruit. The tannins are present and perfectly balanced, with an intriguing hint of briar and earth. The tannins don't intrude but contribute a generous structure for aging. Drink now if you have to, but this wine can be cellared for many years.

The Shea Estate 07 has awesome, effusive aromas of deeply spiced dark raspberries, roses, doug fir forest and hints of violets. A supple initial burst of fruit turns juicy, concealing the fine tannins that linger on the finish with sweet earth. The flavors are still developing, with yummy raspberries and black cherries. An especially sophisticated Shea Estate bottling that will age with ease over the next several years. Highly recommended.
