-->Go to Wine Reviews and Ordering<-- Rob Stuart left his position as winemaker
at Erath to form his own winery, R Stuart & Co. We at Avalon look
forward to offering our customers his wines. From this very new winery's brochure (May, 2002): Our Story R. Stuart & Co. is Rob, of course, and the rest of us too. Maria, Rob's wife, does the PR, and a little bit of everything else. Trish Rogers does what she does best: sales and marketing. The team rounds out with our favorite champagne-ophile Frank Blair. We're staking our claim in downtown McMinnville, taking over an old granary in the neighborhood known affectionately around here as the "pinot quarter." The tanks are arriving, the barrels are here, the wine is on its way. This fall we'll be harvesting grapes from vineyards like Temperance Hill, Bethel Heights and Brunker Hall . . . some of our favorites. We'll make only the wines we love pinot gris, pinot noir and sparkling wine. The adventure has begun.
But, we're so excited we just can't wait till then. Besides, you need something to drink right now. Wines that are fresh, lively and so friendly you'll invite them to dinner. Our premier wines Big Fire Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir are coming soon! Everyday? Absolutely. Ordinary? Never. Think of them as hors d'oeurves. The prelude
to a feast which will warm your soul and ignite your passions. Coming
this month, Big Fire Pinot Gris, suggested retail $13. And in September,
Big Fire Pinot Noir, suggested retail $14. |
