Owen Roe Lady Rosa Syrah 07
$44.95/$40.46
Wine Spectator 94 points
Totally lush scents of candied violets, sweet blackberries, and bacon fat waft from the glass. Super juicy yet sweet blackberries mingle with hints of clove, anise, and ginseng on the complex finish. The Lady Rosa 07 marries fantastic density of fruit with brightness from the acidity. Remarkable balance for such a big wine--expect it to age gracefully.
The 2007 Owen Roe Lady Rosa Syrah is made from Mike and Karen Sauer's Red Willow Vineyard (67%) and the rest from Outlook Vineyard, farmed by Roger Bates. These small hillside blocks are situated high in the cool western Yakima Valley and yields were kept low to maximize flavor and balance.
Every year, this is the Owen Roe Syrah you want to spend time with, as you witness the layers of flavor unfold in the glass. Cellaring this wine will produce even more enjoyment. This is one of the finest Washington Syrahs produced.
The 2006 vintage received 93 points from Wine Spectator.

Dubrul Cabernet Sauvignon 06
$71.95/$64.75
Washington State's Dubrul Vineyard, rehabilitated and made famous by David O'Reilly of Owen Roe, is the source for this distinguished wine. Owen Roe's Dubrul Vineyard wines are the winery's most precious, powerful, intense, and age well into the next decade.
The Owen Roe Dubrul Cab has earned a spot on the Northwest's mantel for best Cabernets. Wine Spectator gave the 2006 vintage 92 points.
Caramel-inflected rich, dark cherries, ground cinnamon, and barrel toast usher in a concentrated palate of plush, dark currants, black cherries, and blackberries. Savory notes of vanilla bean, barrel spice, dried sage leaf and mint come together with sappy fruit, fine tannin, and Dubrul Vineyard earthiness on the finish, exuding power. Best to cellar this for another couple years, then drink over the next decade.

Sharecropper's Cabernet Sauvignon 07
$17.95/$16.16
The smoky blackberry and dark cherry aromas leap out, signaling the showiness of this young Cabernet. Packed with juicy black fruit flavors--especially cassis--this is a big mouthful of Cab, with dried herbs and earth on the slightly chewy finish.
David O'Reilly strikes again: great value, great wine.

Owen Roe
Ex Umbris Syrah 07
$23.95/$21.55
The 2007 Ex Umbris Syrah is the best Ex Umbris yet. Gobs of Marionberries and black raspberries are interspersed with licorice, milk chocolate, and coffee. A superbly rich, supple texture helps carry lingering sweet fruit, violets, and white pepper through the finish.

Owen Roe Rosa Mystica Cabernet Franc 07
$42.00/$37.80
Aromas of bright red berries, wet stone, cardamom. Elegant flavors of red berry liqueur and currant on the palate conceal the spicy tannins and grilled herbs on the finish.

Owen Roe does it again. Like their other value labels - Sharecroppers, O'Reilly's, Northwest Vine Project, Murphy's Law, - Corvidae
packs a punch.
Corvidae Wine Company
"Rook" CSM 06
$12.95/$11.65
"Lucky at cards"
Corvidae's "Rook" blended red wine is a crowd-pleaser. It's a blend of Cabernet, Merlot, and Syrah from three distinctly different vineyards - Ironbird Vineyard, in Southern Oregon's Applegate Valley, Erickson Vineyard, in Washington's Yakima Valley, and St. Isidore Vineyard, in the high priced and trendy Walla Walla appellation.
Corvidae's Rook is a blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Syrah, and 8% Merlot. The ripe and rich Cabernet flavors prevail - juicy loganberry, cassis, and a base note of black plum and cherry. Syrah adds richness, and Merlot smooths the velvet finish.
Corvidae Wine Company
Lenore Syrah 06
$12.95/$11.65
"For the rare and radiant
maiden
whom the angels name
Lenore,
nameless here
forevermore."
The Raven - Edgar Allen Poe
Corvidae's "Lenore" Syrah has great spice, bright fruit, deep purple hues, and gorgeous texture and is really a steal for the quality it delivers. Pair this crowd pleasing wine with barbecued babyback ribs, a hearty lamb stew, your favorite burger or just on it's own.
Lenore Syrah is made from 95% Syrah and 5% Grenache. The fruit comes from Erickson Vineyard, in the Columbia Valley, and Six Prong Vineyard, in the Horse Heaven Hills.

Keeper Cabernet Franc 07
$16.95/$15.25
"Do not look upon me [with scorn],
because I am dark, because the sun
has tanned me. My mother's sons
were angry with me; they made me
the keeper of the vineyards,
but my own vineyard I have not kept." (Song 1:6)
Corvidae's "Keeper" Cabernet Franc 07 is plush and velvety, full-bodied and easy drinking. The scent and flavors knock you out - spice joins black tea, fresh tobacco, thyme, sweet cedar chips, black berries and cassis. When Cabernet Franc is made from well ripened fruit, (as this wine is) it combines plush fruit and interesting accent notes with body that stands well with rich roasted and grilled meats.
