It's
my birthday and I am reversing the tradition and am giving you gifts
instead. Oh what the heck, we also really need to free up some cash,
that's the truth of it. But as I approach my 49th year, I reflect on
the post-modern 21st century zeitgeist of global monsoons and .... oh,
that's b.s. too, we really do need to free up some cash.....

Parker says: "To honor one of the finest Pinot Noir producers
of our time, Burgundy's now retired Henri Jayer, Evesham Wood's
top cuvee is named Cuvee J. The 1995 offering is excellent, revealing
a medium-to-dark ruby color and sweet cassis and cherry aromas.
It is medium-to-full-bodied, rich, thick, complex and oily-textured
with loads of ripe strawberries, cherries and a hint of sauteed
mushrooms in its personality. Projected maturity: 1999-2003."

I know who's tried them in barrel is ecstatic!
Andy
Perdue, editor of Wine PressNW, was there last week and was telling
me that he loved them. And that man has quite the discriminating palate.
These
are some of the best values in Oregon Pinot Noirs, very limited amounts
made, and interstingly, with many wineries still trying to sell out
their 99's and 2000's, Patty is completely sold out of wine till her
2001's are released.
Check
them out, they are great values....
