The 2007 McKinlay Willamette Valley Pinot noir's sophisticated texture, beautiful berry scents and flavors, and rounded, balanced finish are typical of many $30+ Oregon Pinots.

Matt Kinne makes small lots of carefully crafted Pinot noir and then sells it for a low low price. His simple labels and utter lack of marketing might make you pass this one by, but as our local Oregon customers know, his wines are usually super deals.

This 07 shows what a skilled winemaker who knows his vineyard can do in a difficult vintage. Matt's super value Pinot has bright berry and red cherry fruit with just a tiny hint of spice. The wine opens up in your mouth and shows hints of spice and a hint of cream. You can sip this wine, and pair with foods from pizza to turkey to lamb. Matt is truly a very talented vintner.

The Kinne family have 100 year roots in Oregon, farming cherries and apples in the Eola Hills of the Willamette Valley since 1900.

Third generation Oregonian Matt Kinne and his family planted their vineyard in 1989 with a move to the Chehalem Mountains. The farm is a haven of calm - the vineyard seems to float above the valley,
